All ZonePerfect meals are based on the ratio 40:30:30. So the food they market is 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein and 30% fat. While the correct ratio varies from study to study, the following is based off all international studies, and is widely accepted.

Fat: 20% to 30%

Protein: 10% to 15%

The diet proposed by ZonePerfect is too low in carbohydrates, and much too high in protein.
